The first golf
club on the Island, Fuerteventura Golf is situated south of
the village of Caleta de Fuste, some 8kms from the airport.
The course is
an 18 holes, par 70 of 6.069 meters from the men's
championship tees, with two loops of nine holes starting and
finishing at the clubhouse. There are three large takes with
a stream that meanders between them. The course is basically
flat with the exception of the 17th & 18th holes. The
seventeenth, a par 5, gently climbs to a well-protected
green and the eighteenth, a par 4, is a downhill dogleg that
returns to the clubhouse. Buggy paths connect all holes. The
practice facilities are superb, they include a 50-bay
driving range; a large putting green and a huge chipping and
bunker shot green.
It also offers
a well known Golf School, with tuition available in several
languages. The clubhouse includes a large pro-shop with
golf's top brands for sale. Fuerteventura Golf also offers
locker rooms with showers, club-storage area and various
bars, cafeterias and restaurants. There is an outside
terrace and garden area, for relaxing after the round.
Buggies, trolleys and two types of club can be hired.
